DeepSeek Search and Fetch APIs — opened to all developers

DeepSeek: DeepSeek Search and Fetch APIs — opened to all developers, Saturday, October 17, 2026, DeepSeek API. Ended.

DeepSeek opened its in-house search engine as a public API: a Search API that finds web pages for a query and returns structured results, and a Fetch API that retrieves a single page as Markdown. Both use the same bearer token as the DeepSeek API. Each is billed $0.75 per 1,000 successful requests, with a 5 requests-per-second limit per account. Server-side calls made through DeepSeek Harness, Claude Code, or Codex are free until 00:00 Beijing time on November 1, 2026.
